Uckfield Chiropractic Clinic

Uckfield Chiropractic Clinic is the longest established clinic in town and has been running for over 15 years.  The clinic was set-up by Becky Andrew D.C (Doctor of Chiropractic) who was looking to branch out on her own after working for Ian Hutchinson DC in Chelmsford.  Becky’s family all live in East Sussex so having found a premises that would work as a clinic, it got converted from a children’s nursery into the busy, thriving clinic it is today.

Becky’s desire to work with the body and help improve peoples health and mobility, came from having received chiropractic treatment herself as a sporty teenager with low back pain.

Dr Becky Andrew

Becky Andrew - BA, MSc, DC

Chiropractor & Owner of Uckfield and Hailsham Chiropractic Clinics

My interest in chiropractic started in 1991 when as a sports scholar I had to visit Richard Rummary (original owner of Hailsham CC), with severe low back pain and was amazed at how after only a few treatments, my mobility and pain improved hugely.

Having gone on a hockey scholarship to the USA to study Anthropology and African studies for 4 years, and spending lots of time in the training room, I knew I wanted to work with the body. So I decided to continue my studies back in the UK studying for a Master’s of Science in Chiropractic at the University of Surrey.

After working for Ian Hutchinson a Chiropractor in Chelmsford for 3 years, I decided to set up on my own nearer family and friends in Sussex. Uckfield Chiropractic Clinic was set up and opened in July 2006. The clinic in Uckfield has flourished and we now have a multi disciplinary team including two chiropractors.

In 2012 I expanded my business and purchased Hailsham Chiropractic Clinic, which is also multi disciplinary, with three Chiropractors.

As a chiropractor I thoroughly enjoy treating generations of families. Having a strong background in high level sports, this is always of interest me helping people to perform to their optimum. Also being a parent has given me the impetus to undertake additional courses on chiropractic care during pregnancy. At the clinics we use a wide variety of chiropractic techniques depending on the patients needs - this includes Becky being an advanced level Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique practitioner.

I still enjoy playing and watching sport when I have the time, most of it now taken up by my two young sons who love having treatments and have their own toy activators to perform treatments on family!

Becky will be treating patients in our Uckfield Clinic on a Thursday, and our Hailsham Clinic on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Gemma Crouch DC

Chiropractor

Gemma loves treating people of all ages and stages of life; however her special chiropractic interest is helping pregnant women and children. She had taken up extra reading and seminars to develop her skills in this area.

Gemma was always keen on sports and interested in the human body, so decided to take her first degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She graduated from the University of Bath before moving to Bournemouth where she did a Master’s degree in Chiropractic at Anglo-European Chiropractic College (AECC). Gemma still loves running and hockey.

Gemma will be treating patients in our Uckfield Clinic on a Monday and Wednesday.

Louise Lamberti

Louise is a highly motivated chiropractor, who strives for a strong, ethical level of care that is in the best interest of her patients. Louise is genuinely passionate about her chosen field and is experienced in many areas of chiropractic, with patients of all ages, including sportsmen and women, pregnant mothers and paediatric patients (a field in which she’s extremely passionate about). Louise is compassionate, caring and an understanding chiropractor.

Louise will be treating patients in our Uckfield Clinic on a Tuesday and Friday and our Hailsham Clinic on a Monday and Thursday.

Chloe Spicer

Chiropractor

Chloe graduated from the Anglo European Chiropractic Collage, Bournemouth with a Masters in Chiropractic. After an injury in her teenage years led her to receiving her first experience of Chiropractic care.

Growing up a keen dancer in Bournemouth, Chloe holds an interest in functional anatomy and biomechanics, physiology and health. The way chiropractic looks as a person as a whole using a bio-mechanical approach to care really took her interest, and has shaped how she practices.
Outside of clinic, Chloe enjoys watching movies and seeing live music. Due to her dance background she enjoys Barre classes. Chloe also enjoys boxing classes.

John Hawes - BSc (Hons) PGCert MChS

Crysytal Burden

Podiatrist

After finishing school I completed a foundation course in art and design and subsequently a
degree in jewellery design at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London).
Alongside studying I worked part-time at The Orpheus Centre, an arts centre for young
disabled adults, as a care/support worker.
On graduating for the following few years I worked part-time in the arts sector as a
designer/maker and teaching on widening participation projects for the university, and part-
time in the care sector as a care worker at a Residential Nursing home and domiciliary visits
in the community.
Through care work I became aware of podiatry, I felt it would really suit me and decided on
a change of direction. I completed an access to medical sciences diploma at Sussex Downs
college, Lewes and then a podiatry degree at the University of Brighton.
Following this I spent 3 yrs. working as a general, then specialist NHS podiatrist. During this
time I gained invaluable experience and enjoyed developing my skills in all aspects of
podiatry, treating a varied and complex caseload.
I then transitioned into private podiatry as it offered greater flexibility and a better work life
balance.
I enjoy the practical, problem-solving aspect of podiatry and meeting a large variety of
people. I’m happy when I’m able to keep people pain free and enjoying the activities they
want to do.
Outside of work I enjoy swimming, gardening, walking my little dachshund x poodle - ivy and
riding my new forest pony - Belle.
I work on a Monday and Thursday in Uckfield and Friday and Saturday in Hailsham.

Sarah Parker

Receptionist

Sarah initially joined Uckfield Chiropractic Clinic in 2014 having flippantly said to Becky one afternoon that, if she ever needed any receptionist cover to give her a call! Lucky for us Sarah is still here, and still loves her job.
Sarah had been a nurse for 34 years and during her initial 2 years of retirement Sarah found that she really missed the feeling of belonging to a team, as well as missing the variety of people she used to meet every day. This job definitely ticks those boxes.
In her spare time Sarah has a collie dog who needs lots of exercise, as well as 5 Aylesbury ducks who are always getting into mischief.
Sarah loves gardening, sewing, Pilates and swimming.
Most of all Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, children, family and friends.

Katie Beckett

Katie joined Uckfield Chiropractic Clinic on a temporary basis as a receptionist when it first opened in July 2006 – 17 years later Katie is still here on a part-time basis!
