Hailsham Chiropractic Clinic

Hailsham Chiropractic Clinic is the only chiropractic clinic in Hailsham and has been established in Hailsham for 18 years.

The clinic was originally set up by the infamous Richard Rummary, who started the practise from his home in Heathfield. Dr Rummary was an incredible chiropractor and we still treat many of his patients today who ask after him.  He was also the inspiration for Dr Andrew to qualify as a chiropractor and enter the profession following her successful treatment with him.

The clinic has had the pleasure of Dr Thomas Fletcher at the clinic since his graduation, and he remains a favourite with his patients for his skills and expertise.  We also have an x-ray unit onsite and take x-rays for both clinics.

Dr Becky Andrew BA, MSc, DC

Chiropractor & Owner of Uckfield and Hailsham Chiropractic Clinics

My interest in chiropractic started in 1991 when as a sports scholar I had to visit Richard Rummary (original owner of Hailsham CC), with severe low back pain and was amazed at how after only a few treatments my mobility and pain improved hugely.

Having gone on a hockey scholarship to the USA to study Anthropology and African studies for 4 years, and spending lots of time in the training room, I knew I wanted to work with the body. So I decided to continue my studies back in the UK studying for a Master’s of Science in Chiropractic at the University of Surrey.

After working for Ian Hutchinson a Chiropractor in Chelmsford for 3 years, I decided to set up on my own nearer family and friends in Sussex. Uckfield Chiropractic Clinic was set up and opened in July 2006. The clinic in Uckfield has flourished and we now have a multi disciplinary team including two chiropractors.

In 2012 I expanded my business and purchased Hailsham Chiropractic Clinic, which is also multi disciplinary, with three Chiropractors. We also have x-ray facilities onsite, which is used by both clinics.

As a chiropractor I thoroughly enjoy treating generations of families. Having a strong background in high level sports, this is always of interest me helping people to perform to their optimum. Also being a parent has given me the impetus to undertake additional courses on chiropractic treatment during pregnancy and paediatrics. At the clinics we use a wide variety of chiropractic techniques depending on the patients needs - this includes Becky being an advanced level Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique practitioner.

I still enjoy playing and watching sport when I have the time, most of it now taken up by my two young sons who love having treatments and have their own toy activators to perform treatments on family!

Tom Fletcher

Chiropractor

I have been practising at Hailsham Chiropractic Clinic since I graduated from the university of Glamorgan in 2002. Over the past 15 years I have felt privileged to be part of developing and growing the practice within the Hailsham community whilst developing my clinical skills.

The roots of our practice go back to Richard Rummary, a gifted chiropractor and solicitor who started the practice in Heathfield in 1985 and it is with pride that i continue the work of such an extraordinary man.

I practise the traditional arts and sciences of Chiropractic as as well as developing further postgraduate studies in Medical Acupuncture, Paediatrics, Neurology, Medical Imaging and Nutrition.

Putting our patients first and taking pride in what I do is how I approach my craft and I hope to see a great many of our local people more active and comfortable. I am keen to help people to cycle more, especially the older generations for whom this can open up a wealth of opportunites to stay healthy and positive.

I look forward to continuing to serve the local community and help people move better, feel more comfortable and more fully understand how their bodies work so they can help themselves.

In my spare time I like to cycle and dance, explore the delights of the sussex countryside and develop my skills as a medical illustrator.

Sports Massage Therapist and Reflexologist

I am a third generation of massage therapist in my family, following in my Grandfather, Father and Mothers' feet and I have been practising Sports Massage Therapy for 18 years. I first studied Sports Therapy at a local college and then went on to complete my Sports Massage training with The London School of Sports Massage. I began my Reflexology training more recently with the Natural Therapy Studio, so I was able to offer my clients another treatment option. (bio section)

(treatment section)
With the massage work that I do I am able to help with both releasing the tension held in the muscles from a hectic work life or rehabilitate after an accident/injury gained during sports. I find that this treatment compliments the chiropractic work.

With reflexology I am able to relax the body using a few deep breathing techniques before and after each session and help the bodies natural rhythm through working on the reflex points in the feet. This is a less intrusive form of therapy as I am able to work on the whole body through the feet.
